Implementation of Drip irrigation systems in Nahleh and El Mudwi (Lebanon)

SupMed project support farmers involved in the project by proving drip irrigation systems

In Nahleh, 12 farmers benefits of drip irrigation systems adapted to specific systems adapted to aboriculture and legume crops. In El Mudwy, 20 farmers benefited of similar irrigation systems to optimize their crop irrigation.

The objective is to improve efficiency of water use and increase crop yield. A visit has been organised on the field with SupMed team and local partner to assess the functionning of the systems and collect farmers opinions on this new technical systems and adjust them if necessary; It appears that drip irrigation systems are adapted to farmers needs
